How to set up your dedicated RaceRoom Racing Experience multiplayer server

Log in to your server

If you haven't done so already, sign up. You'll get access to your dashboard where you can launch your host machine. Once that machine is running, you'll get a link to manage your server with, together with your own login and password.

Setting things up

If this is your first time logging on, you will be greeted with this prompt. You can just type anything here, because no-one else will be hosting a server on the server you rent through us. It's yours and yours only.
Next up, you'll get a notification you can run up to 5 instances of RaceRoom's dedicated multiplayers servers. Although technically you can, running multiple servers at once will impact the performance of your servers.
You'll now be able to create a new server. You can name the server (don't worry, you can always change that later) and go to the server management page.
Your server will start in offline mode. Click "turn on server" to start your R3E multiplayer server.

Tips & hints

You cannot change settings while your server is running. So take your time setting up your server before people start joining. Otherwise, you're going to have to kick them out again to change your settings.
When you are making changes to the settings, make sure that you save these changes too. There is a prompt at the bottom your window to save your changes, but it's not always readily visible.

Happy racing!
